I Personally have been using mind mapper for almost 5 years now. It has been great in organizing projects, websites, trips, remodels, parties and more. I think it's a great tool that helps keep you visually organized.

I currently still use the 3.5 version of Mindmapper. They are at version 5 now and its a bit pricey but well worth it.

There are a few FREE shareware solutions that offer almost the same basic functionality, but not the simple well refined ease of use and features of MindMapper.

FreeMind is a decent free mindmapper like program. You can find it at: http://freemind.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Page
Click on the download and install link. (FreeMind is for both MAC or PC)

Knowledge Map is another free mindmapper like program that has different features than FreeMind. You can find it at: http://www.inforapid.de/html/kmscreenshots.htm

Download the free ones and give them a try. They are basic on snappy features but create some nice visuals. They might be all you need. If not purchase the MindMapper software. Its well worth it!
